As an artist, I am most interested in the process of creating. When working on my art, I strive to be completely in the moment, feeling the clay in my hands and loosing myself in my creativity. Many of my pieces reflect the love I have of nature, as I feel clay and nature are one. I often use sticks from trees for texture and images of trees and dragonflies on my work. Just recently my pieces have started to reflect my passion for birds, as I enjoy watching birds and now have found the love for creating little birds and adding them to my jars and plates. I create pottery for people to use. I feel there is something amazing about holding a handmade mug with warm tea in it or eating a soup out of a fired clay bowl.
